missed opportunity

I was chatting with a friend of mine last Monday on YM…she had mentioned her and her hubby(both pinoys and about my age) together with their boy, are going to Ontario, leaving Wednesday morning…he is going to compete in a fruit carving competition which will be held on Saturday. He is one of the top chefs in Marriot Hotel in Halifax.  Ontario is about 18 hrs drive from here(non-stop!)…she had invited me to join them, since it’s march break anyways and kids are off school for the week. I was so excited and mentioned it to John, who said, of course, we can go. We’ll be back Sunday anyways, so it won’t be that long, it would be fun and it would take us out of the house…Arvin and I were all prepared and emotionally excited going to bed Monday night….Tuesday morning, when i woke up to get ready for work, Arvin woke up with really, really red cheeks. I went to work and told my boss I’ll be off from wed till the end of the week and she said it’s ok, so that was a relief. When I phoned at lunch time to check on Arvin, John said he’s burning up with fever! talk about bad timing!!!!everything was ready and the way I planned them when Arvin got sick again! huhuhuhuhu…I was so devastated!!!..oh well, there might be a reason why we can’t go beyonds Arvin’s sickness …. next time na lang! ….lagot oi!! I could have been posting here: My trip to Ontario!, instead of this!!!

It happens anytime Lene. I think the only time that I would really worry a lot is when my boy get sick. This year sakitin si Joshua. Ambot ngano ni. That would really be nice to see that fruit carving competition. It won’t really matter driving 18 hours anyway, laag na jud na. Daghan pay NEXT!!

Hello Arlene! I hope your Arvin is feeling better na ron. It was a missed opportunity talaga—and you are right sometime things happen for reason. Mas mahirap kung doon na sa Ontario magkasakit ang Arvin mo. Just like what I have been experiencing with my Bianca Ann getting sick at somebody;s house. Ang hirap but what to do…take care!
